I decided to do a Polymer 80 GLOCK 19 build.
At first I was just going to build a frame and swap the upper from my Glock 19 Gen3 , but changed my mind.
I got the frame and frame kit from Brownell’s
I went with the Coyote tan with the abrasive grip.
Today I ordered a Swenson barrel and slide, along with a slide kit to duild the slide. The only thing I need now is a set of sights.

Watching with interest. I'm wishing I had bought one or two when they were on sale quite cheap last year. I think those were first gen models though and they had some issues.

Theyre coming out with a subcompact frame in March, and supposedly a 10mm/45acp sized frame later this year.

I keep thinking a polymer80 kit, along with a PA10 parts kit, along with some magpuls and a case of 175 grn fed gold medal inside a 4 inch pvc tube might make for a good idea...

We are thinking along similar lines.HTRN wrote:I keep thinking a polymer80 kit, along with a PA10 parts kit, along with some magpuls and a case of 175 grn fed gold medal inside a 4 inch pvc tube might make for a good idea...

Re: Polymer 80 build
Well, I do have a habit of over doing things.
My plan was just to build the lower with the parts from the 19 Gen 3, but I ordered a lower parts kit with the frame. I ordered a Swenson slide and barrel from MidwayUSA along with a slide parts kit. So I built the gun with all new parts. The first step was to remove the extra pieces from the top rail. I don’t have my drill press set up so I did it by hand.
I started with a sanding drum on my dremel. I then switched to a high speed cutter bit. The next step was to mill out the barrel block. then drill the pin holes. Next was to put it all together.

Looking forward to the range report. I doubt these will go on sale anything like last year but I'm keeping eyes open just in case.
I'm hoping one of these will also work with a Mech Tech CCU to get a Glock-magazine fed carbine on the relatively cheap.

I went to the range last week. The red 6 and blue 3 were shot at 25 yards the rest were shot at 10 yards.
The gun really feels good in the hand. I like the flat trigger but need to shoot it more to get used to it.

Thanks. I'm regretting all the more not buying one or two of the kits last year when a site was clearancing them.
