Some of my favorite AR triggers were well worn parts in guns assembled back in the 80s. None of them compare to aftermarket triggers, but if new parts kits could match them I wouldn’t bother with anything else.Weetabix wrote:

I went with a Wilson Combat 2 stage in mine. It was pretty smooth and feels light, but I never measured the pull on it. Definitely an improvement from the stock trigger I built with. Didn't get a whole lot of rounds through it though, and never used it for anything more than plinking before the SAFE Act passed and the rifle was lost.

Having grown up shooting Springfields and M1s I personally can't stand single-stage triggers, but some folks like them.
