Bill Jordan style holsters

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

Bill Jordan style holsters

Post by Cybrludite »

I just finished "No Second Place Winners" recently (I inherited my great-uncle's autographed copy. ), and I'm interested in getting his style of holster for several of my wheelguns. However, my Bing-Fu is failing me tonight. Anyone know of anyone still making this style of gunleather?

The originals were made (IIRC) by S. D. Myres, but they were copied by just about everybody. Can't find a current maker, but you might be able to find a used one on Gunbroker or something.

I'd look at that design very carefully, because while it worked great for Bill Jordan, it doesn't seem to suit too many others. Personally, I'd rather have a Bianchi 1L than a Jordan-style, but that's just me. YMMV, etc.

THIS is what you're looking for. From my Bing Fu, I found Don Hume, which supposedly makes one; and I think one of El Paso Saddlery's holsters may be the same though the name has been changed. Call the Saddlery and talk to Ryan McNellis (the owner), or Ken Smith.

Perhaps you would like to speak to our very own Evyl Robot - he can make you pretty much anything you desire in the way of leather.
