Solar charger for AA

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

In theory. Part of the fun of Ham radio is trying to make the theory match reality.

As I said, it might work. It might not. I've had mixed results with several different brands and models of HTs and charging set ups over the year. I'll be interested to see if this particular set up works since I've had no experience with the low cost Chinese radios that have come out the past few years.

Good to see you have plans B and C on tap.

I just didn't want you to get discouraged if it doesn't work right off the bat. I've spent hours and hours over the years analyzing, trouble shooting and tweaking power set ups. (Let's no even get into how much time I've spent on antennas, packet/digital set up, portable station set ups...) It's all part of the fun!
I am not that easy to discourage. I get annoyed but not that often discouraged. It works or it doesn't. B and C will work though.

Can't watch the video at work, but I have a General license. (I'm assuming you meant amateur radio operators and not licensed amateur Operational Operators?) :D
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

Amateur Extra. First licensed in 1978.

We've had several threads about the subject. Do a search on "ham radio" or "amateur radio":
