AR mags - slick side or Magpul?

The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

Magpul or steel?

Having tried P-Mags, GI mags, and a few others I still like GI mags the best. The stack and store easier, fit in pouches better, and tend to be a bit cheaper than P-Mags. I've never tried lancers but I've heard good things about them.

Heavy bullets seated out may be too long for the PMags.
Any specifics on that? I've been loading nothing but 77gr SMK's to the COL in the Hornady manual (basically Mk262 specs) and never had a problem in my Pmags.
Long as you stick to book lengths, you should be fine.
Once you start playing with seating depth and long throats, that's when the issue pops up.

I have the measurements here somewhere, but will take them again when I get the opportunity, couple hours or so.
