The place for general talk about gun, shooting, loading, camping, survival, and preparedness related tools and gear, as well as gear technology discussion, gear reviews, and gear specific "range reports" (all other types of gear should be on the back porch).

After reading a couple of articles in Shotgun News, I've become interested in Meprolight optics. So I did a little research. I ran across a smokin' deal on one that I would otherwise not be able to afford. This is on Amazon through a third party. The price is over $600 off of MSRP, and about 2/3 of what Midway is asking for it. This pegged my BS meter. But Amazon, AFAIK, has a very good reputation. My biggest fear is that it's a counterfeit. Should I follow my instincts, or is it worth taking a chance?
