This weekend at an FCSA event Lee Rasmussen set a new .50 record at 1,000 yards with a 5 shot group 1.95 inches. That is between .1 and .2 MOA with a 5 shot group! Congrats Lee
And just think, now they've come out with a routine 2,000 yard shooter: The .338 Xtreme Tactical, with its case based on the .505 Gibbs:
Recent decades have seen a dramatic growth in interest in long-range riflery on the part of military and law enforcement precision shooters, target competitors and hunters. Today, skilled shooters can make shots at a mile or more, thanks to advances in guns, cartridges, bullets and optics. The .338 Xtreme Tactical is the next evolutionary phase in the development of the ultra-long-range shooting system, and represents the best combination of power, accuracy, light weight and low recoil currently available.
THE .338 XTREME TACTICAL RIFLE
Receiver:
• 420 stainless steel, 44-46 Rc
• Diamter: 1.600"
• Ejection port: 4.49" long
• Bolt release: pivoting lever in left receiver wall
• Recoil lug: 0.250" thick, sandwiched between receiver and barrel
• Receiver drilled and tapped for 40-m.o.a. Picatinny rail (included)
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad
How much do you suppose his barrel weighs? It looks like a sewer pipe.
Years from now our children and grandchildren living in a 3rd world America will ask "What were you doing on March 21st 2010 and why didn't you stop it?"

I can't tell from the photo, but Lilja lists it's target barrel contour for .50 BMG as 1.75" for 7", then tapering down to 1.5" @34-36". Weight is 18lbs, 4oz for a 34".

Because it's a BAT action(confirmed elsewhere) and they're either 2", or 2.5" in diameter. Which means that at most, it's 2.5" at the breech end. And seeing as how it visibly tapers... My guess? It's either 2" or 1.75".
I think the scope is a Mark 4. I'm not sure about the brake, I've seen that model before, but for the life of me, can't recall where. K&P, perhaps?
