Well, dang it. My 3032 is showing stress cracks.

After 150 rounds plus however many were fired through it prior to my owning it, my Beretta Tomcat is showing stress marks on the top of the frame near the tip-up barrel spring and what looks like a hairline crack on the right side. It's an older model and wasn't showing any wear before I got it.

I enjoyed carrying it as a backup CCW piece. It was a nice second pistol to have for when I ran out of 9mm.

What ammo were you using in it? IIRC, the Tomcat is not designed for hot ammo, like some of the newer hollow point loads or anything from Buffalo Bore.

I was using a mix of Winchester White Box 71gr flat nose and Prvi Partizan 72gr round nose, mostly Winchester.

And unfortunately, one doesn't fix the frame, either.

That sucks. I was hoping you could have it spot welded or something.

Maybe you can contact Beretta to get it replaced under warranty. You would probably have to prove that you weren’t using hot ammo or reloads in it, though.

Unfortunate but common.

I can't prove the original owners didn't use hot ammo in it, either.

Doesn't really matter what you can or can't prove. Beretta will either warranty it or they will not; it's not like you were going to take them to court even if you could prove it was only ever fired with standard SAAMI spec ammo, and there's no lemon law for firearms.

Well, nothing ventured, nothing gained... may as well see if they make the 3032 anymore.
