Revolver question for Combat Controller
Guy on another forum asked for first hand accounts of internal locks engaging when the operator didn't want them to. I seem to recall that you had this happen to you with a scandium Smith a few years ago. Wondered if you can remember what model it was, ammo used, anything else, etc. Thanks.

Re: Revolver question for Combat Controller
I had it happen with a 625. The hammer jammed halfway back. Couldn't unload the gun, and didn't have the tools to take off the side plate. Managed to get the hammer forced back to the firing position, and then fired it. Immediately took it back to the shop, and pulled the thing out.
They are a lawsuit, waiting to happen.

I think most of the accounts of it happening are with heavyweight, hot ammo in the ultralight scandium 357s..

It was also my impression that it was mostly the lightweight guns, and .44 mags as well.

Yeah, I distinctly remember Smith issuing a warning against shooting anything heavier than 240 grain in the 329, also no hot factory ammo like Corbin or Underwood.
