reloading 5.45X39, foggedaboutit!?

Post by toad »

I was over on the Classic Arms website doing some Russian dozen window shopping, some of deez, some of dozz, and one of deem, when I looked a Waffen Works AK-74 with the B grade wood. Now you can get Hornady steel cased with 60grain V-max in that caliber but it is a tad expensive esp. if you want live round practice. So I looked briefly into reloading for it. Yipes! People are making brass from .222 having to trim, neck form, anneal and all that. For bullets they are swaging down .223 bullets....
So I'm wondering if there were enough AK-74's floating around to ever make it worth the component manufacturers to manufacture stuff for 5.45X39MM reloading? :?:

Maybe if....the cheap surplus goes away. It worked for 54R.
