BIT: 224 Zipperer?

Post by Aglifter »

Post by "Wild Bill" Caldwell about 40 gr Hornady at 2500 fps out of a 1911...

Based on the 9x23... Which sounds exactly like the 22 TCM, but with a better bullet...

Would that be a decent SD loading?

Ballistic gel of a 40 gr V-Max at ~2750 fps.

.223 V-Max doesn't go through barriers very well, I know this from experimenting. That might be a good thing in some circumstances though ?

Sounds remarkably like the .224 Boz of some years back, although that was on the 10mm case.
