The .45/70 has a trajectory like a rainbow and .375 H&H is probably the most versatile hunting round on the planet. My friend swears by .270, but that's not enough gun for a grizzly.

I put in for a buffalo tag this year, too.

The big 3, for bear hunting up in alaska, from what I've read, is .338 win mag (#1), followed by 300 win mag, then .375.
