I don't know gun laws in Canada, but I'd expect that these two might be considering researching carry options before their next hike.

Wasn't the bear actually just looking for dropped food from these guys? Maybe it learned that human (idiots) feed bears? I didn't think it was up for hunting them....

But then I'm a city slicking tenderfooted greenhorn.
