Only man to start Army-Navy on both teams

Started at Navy, could not hack the academics so left after 3rd class year. Picked up by Army and was able to play and graduate. Yes, Navy has always been harder than Army even in the '40's.

The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

When I was applying for college, West Point's SAT scores were much lower than Annapolis
