Because they underestimate how many Americans are into conservative blogs, and they are scared stiff about the state of their economy.
They just confiscated the deposits the North Koreans had in Chinese banks. They are not happy about South Korea setting up various anti-missile weapons that have the range to stop launches from the Manchurian region. They've been trying to sell the populace the days under Mousey Tongue were the good old days, and everything is foreigner's fault. They are having trouble getting foreign investment anymore and they've been having a lot of labor unrest esp. in government owned companies. They think they are real close to losing "The Mandate of Heaven" and breaking "The Iron Rice Bowl."
Cruz or Trump would cause a lot of poo to run down Party officials legs.

The leadership used to allow "house" Christians. They could worship at specific locations as long as they allowed "monitors". They had Churches with crosses on the top. Well they took down the crosses last year and then they've started prohibiting Christianity. They are going full commie.
They've allowed people to have more than one child now but the agency that enforces birth control is still active making sure they don't go over two. The agency thugs don't wont to lose their government jobs. So they continue their pull them out and just after birth "abortions".
Tofu building construction continues because it is lucrative, Charge for quality building material but use cheap crap. OK until rainstorms, floods, and earth quakes then, they end up digging out bodies. Still nervous about the Three Gorges Dam, still patching it.
