I knew a guy about 20 years ago who died scouting sheep. They said it was a down draft. Now I wonder if he had a problem with a moose hunter stall. But he was a careful pilot, so maybe not.
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

Jump right out and count to four.*

*That last will become increasingly anachronistic as the T-10 series is phased out. The T-11 uses a count of five or six, IIRC.

There's been numerous ADs issued on the Traumahawk over the years. One of which was to limit up elevator 'up' travel(85-11-06). Apparently student pilots/low time pilots would try to take off at too low air speed, and keep pulling the yoke back, because the nose wouldn't come up yet(due to the T-tail). A bushing/stop was installed on the yoke shaft to reduce maximum 'up' travel.

My friend Keith's Tomahawk has this.

Now, for the rotor wing guys. A video of a tail strike from 2013.

Pay no attention to the idiotic commentary, but how much damage would something like this do?

Can happen in any airframe:

Granted, the pull up was computer initiated, but the effect was the same.
