How Socialism Comes

Post by D5CAV »

I don't know why Doug uses the "F" word. Just call a spade a spade. Communism, Socialism, and Fascism are all the same. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-04- ... es-america
It's most unfortunate, but the U.S. and its allies will turn into authoritarian police states. Even more than they are today. Much more, actually. They'll all be perfectly fascist – private ownership of both consumer goods and the means of production topped by state control of both. Fascism operates free of underlying principles or philosophy; it's totally the whim of the people in control, and they'll prove ever more ruthless.
Most of your fellow voters will vote for it because it says so in the first book of the Bible: Gen 35:30-34.
30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
Somehow, we read these stories as children, but we never learn the lesson.
None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

1 Samuel 8, too. The children of Israel asked the Lord for a king, like the cool kids had...and He gave them one, good and hard.

I'll take the liberty of paraphrasing C.S. Lewis, who pointed out this habit of ours (meaning humans) quite well: At some point, the Lord will say, "All righty, then...thy will be done. Let Me know how it works out for you."

Ben Franklin's quote on what the Founding Father created comes to mind..........

Also this:
"You can vote socialism in, but you nearly always have to shoot your way out."
"Life is a bitch. Shit happens. Adapt, improvise, and overcome. Acknowledge it, and move on."

The only difference between Socialism, Fascism and Communism is whether you want to pretend you own a business or not, and how snazzy the uniforms of your oppressors are.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

I am surprised that no one has pointed out that after socialism comes, it rolls over and smokes a cigarette.
