I hope so, but I would not count him out until the military as a whole comes down one side or another.

he is done. The question is not that; rather, how long it will take for him to notice and how many people he will kill directly and indirectly before his turdliness hits the event horizon of the toilet.

Thoughts:

Was it as painful for anyone else to watch / listen to Pence's bad Spanish? I mean, I don't expect him to sound like every hispanic reporter, who, while having ZERO accent during their broadcast, switch to a deeply accented flourish when they sign off with their name. But "Estamos con ustedes!" was just not right... I don't make statements for the government of the US, but if I did, I'd likely confirm with a fluent speaker that my pronunciation of foreign words sprinkled in my speech was at least passable.

That said, what are the lessons we need to learn from Venezuela, considering the trend here toward illegitimate vote counting? We do have the advantage here of the populace being as well / better armed than the Army, but Socialist "A chicken in every pot" programs are beginning to not just vex, but outstrip the tax base.

Also, agree that he's 'put-a-fork-in-him' DONE. Either he arrests Guiado as an illegitimate usurper, which sparks riots, or he doesn't, which legitimizes Guiado, and likely sparks riots. The real question is if he can manage to make it out of this alive. Accept Guiado's proclamation, agree to live in exile, pack his bags full of money (Dollars, not Bolivars...) and retire to a non-extradition country.

Then hopefully sleep very lightly every night, just in case of assassination. Which for the record, I would NOT be shook up over it. Hell I would probably contribute to a go fund me. A fate like Saddam would be great or Mussolini.

And to think that back in the 1980's, Venezuela was the jewel of south America..............

This

Go re-read "Animal Farm" by George Orwell. As long as the pigs keep feeding the dogs choice lamb chops, courtesy of the sheep that "elected" them, the dogs terrorize the other animals into submission to the pigs.

Coming soon to a theater near you courtesy of Chavista AOC, Taliban Rashida, Commie Harris, Crazy Maxine, Liawatha Liz and Limousine Liberal Nancy. As an aside, a Swiss friend lamented that the end of Switzerland was inevitable once they gave women the right to vote (after the last mountain Canton capitulated mid-1990s). Back then, I thought him misogynist. Now I think he was right.

Don't expect it to be any different here. The dogs that have any honor or morals will be purged, one way or the other.

People in the media need to ask the new Muslim congresscritters how they feel about gay marriage, then see the sparks fly.
