This demonstrates (yet again, to absurdity), that the Leftists are children, see the world as children and deal with their wants and desires as children.
Whites and men and conservatives are supposed to be the mature ones in the interaction, and where that Antifa Professor who hit people with a padlock would get a pass, for feelings running high and all that, Marines and really any one not a leftist, would be expected to endure rocks or a spitting or screaming in the face, or laying hands to, with complete control and impassivity.
I still don't know what to do about this dichotomy.

The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
