I was a little too young then, but when the movie came out in 1961, it made a big impression on junior-high/middle school boys. They used to have comb fights, and one coworker said that he was walking home from school and a boy jumped out from behind a bush, asked "Do you wanna be a Jet?" and slashed his forehead with a plastic comb.

And now Andrew Cuomo is going against Sharks.

In other news, Meg is going to hit theaters Aug 9th.

Maybe people will stay out of the water like they did with Jaws?

Going by the trailer, maybe they'll stay out of the theaters.
