It's the only war we've got!

Ann Coulter is a bit too much of a partisan neocon for my taste, but she is still a good writer, unlike the hacks who write for NYT and WaPo who just cut and paste CIA talking points: https://www.takimag.com/article/dem-nig ... -november/

Ukrainian lives matter, but not American lives.
The national pastime has segued seamlessly from watching TV anchors cry on TV about the coronavirus to watching TV anchors cry on TV about the fate of Ukrainian children.

Of course, when American kids are murdered expressly as a result of our own government’s policies, the journalism protocol is: No crying, no coverage.
Yeah, before Putin invaded Ukraine, Dems were looking at certain death in November
Until the war in Ukraine, the Democrats were facing midterms after having spent the previous two years mandating masks and an endless series of vaccinations — even for the vaccinated or previously infected.

Democrats flung open the border to illegal alien murderers, drug dealers, gang members and welfare recipients.

Democratic district attorneys have turned city after city into feces-smeared murdertopias that make Charles Bronson’s “Death Wish” look like “The Sound of Music.”

These days, the left’s main casus belli is teaching little kids about anal sex, transgenders and the inherent evil of white people.
So what to do to save the Party?
What could even Stalin’s media do with that record?

Option 1) Implement a collective mind wipe, perhaps through an electromagnetic pulse, to erase voters’ memory of everything that’s happened since Joe Biden was sworn in.

Option 2) WAR! (Someplace in the world that’s not here.)

What crisis at our border? We’re reporting on a WAR.
How can you talk about murder rates when CHILDREN ARE DYING IN UKRAINE?
What vaccine mandates? COVID is over. Now we’re talking about war!
Everything bad that’s happening is Putin’s fault! He’s like Hitler!

Talk about Russian collusion! Putin gave Trump Facebook ads; he’s giving Biden a military invasion.
So what about risking World War 3? Defeat in the midterms is a bigger problem!
By now, the media have whipped the public into such a frenzy over Ukraine that a majority of Americans want the U.S. to start shooting down Russian planes, starting World War III with nuclear armed power.

A small price to pay for Democratic dominance.

A quick refresher on the N part of NBC school, probably the most scary part of that trinity: https://www.visualcapitalist.com/scienc ... r-weapons/
Given how damaging a single nuke can be, it’s difficult to imagine the outcome of an actual nuclear conflict without fear of total annihilation, especially with the world’s nuclear arsenal sitting at over 13,000 warheads.
We should remember a man we all owe our lives to, VADM Vasily Arkhipov, Order of the Red Banner of the Soviet Union: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasily_Arkhipov

The last time we played chicken with Russia (at that time USSR), it was regarding a country that just experienced a coup on USA's doorstep. Now it is regarding a country that just experienced a coup on Russia's doorstep.

He was played by Liam Neeson in the movie "K-19: The Widowmaker" and by Denzel Washington in the movie "Crimson Tide".

Yes, "Crimson Tide" was based on a true story. During the Cuban Missile Crisis, Arkhipov was XO of a Soviet submarine off the coast of Cuba. Unknown to US CIA at the time, the B-59 had nuclear tipped torpedoes. Someone in the flotilla of US destroyers shadowing the B-59 thought it was a good idea to drop a few depth charges to "force them to the surface".

The B-59 had been out of radio contact with Moscow for several days, so the Captain thought war had already started since he was getting depth charged. He locked and loaded two of his nuclear tipped torpedoes and was targeting the US aircraft carrier and one of the destroyers.

Arkhipov was the XO, but he carried a lot of respect in the Soviet submarine fleet because of his bravery in saving the K-19. He managed to convince the political officer and weapons officer to not release the nukes to the Captain. Yeah, he disobeyed a lawful order from his commanding officer in the Soviet Navy.

Can you imagine what would have happened if two mushroom clouds suddenly erupted off the coast of Cuba in October, 1962? Remember the CIA thought the only nukes were on Cuba, and that the Russians didn't have the technology to put a nuke on a torpedo. They would have assumed the nukes came from two of the tactical nuke missiles on Cuba.

Yeah, global thermonuclear war.

He died of cancer, like every other crewman on the K-19.
