RTWTCHARLESTON, W. Va. (Jan. 15, 2020) – A bill introduced in the West Virginia House would set the foundation to create a gun sanctuary state by prohibiting enforcement of past, present and future federal gun control. Passage into law would represent a major step toward ending federal acts that infringe on the right to keep and bear arms within the state in practice and effect.
Del. Joe Jeffries (R-Putnam), along with 10 Republican cosponsors, introduced House Bill 4168 (HB4168) on Jan. 14. The legislation would ban any person, including any public officer or employee of the state and its political subdivisions, from enforcing any past, present or future federal “acts, laws, executive orders, administrative orders, court orders, rules, or regulations” that infringe on the right to keep and bear arms.

The legislation includes a provision that would allow anybody who violates the law and knowingly deprives somebody of their right to keep and bear arms as defined by the law to be sued for damages in civil court.
Huzzah!

As are the attempts of some to break up states like CA into small multiple states.
IMHO, this is more plausible or closer to the possible than those ideas. This wouldn't require adding Senators for additional states.
Slip the line for big chunks for WA, OR and CA over to increase red state areas of ID, NV, AZ? We can dream can't we?

Interesting times. There's an awakening of some kind and it's both encouraging and a bit scary.

HTRN, eh, bit fuzzy about that. They can not overturn a Federal law, but they might be able to tell their employees not to expend resources to enforce one.
EG, take immigration law. Refusing to hold an illegal, especially once requested to, might be an issue. Not spending state resources to find illegals, to turn them over, is probably OK.
