That is certain to be reversed on appeal. It may stand for a while if it gets the right 3 judge panel, but no way does the whole 9th circuit uphold it.

Be interesting to see if they bring up any of the dicta from U.S. v. Miller, which said implied that weapons (and by implication, components and accessories) that have utility for the militia would enjoy GREATER protection under the Second Amendment than ones with limited or no militia usefulness.
Standard capacity magazines would definitely fall under that category.

It appears some vendors have re-enabled mail order for standard cap magazines to California and sales are quite brisk...
Expect some short term shortages and possible price gouging as a result.

I expect that suddenly lots of mags are suddenly going to be "found" now. In theory every mag produced before this date is now legal to own and import. Even if a ban is put back into place that's millions more mags that the government could never prove entered the state illegally.

I like that a lot of places I buy stuff from are sending out emails saying, "NOW SELLING TO CALIFORNIA!"

I’m glad to see CA buying every mag in sight. I only wish the CT market was large enough for retailers to jump on opportunities like this when they pop up.

some have been saying this is a bad decision for those of us on the pro gun side. I don't follow that "logic". Can anyone help me to understand that thought process?
