She seems to be the hope of the crazy left. They're all hoping that when she's old enough, she will run for president. Many of those followers don't even realize that the Constitution requires her to be at least 35 years old. They think she is going to be able to take on Trump in 2020. Frankly, I hope she does eventually run for president. I would love to be her opponent.

What blows my mind more than anything , is how liberals seem unable to see past the ends of their own noses. She just embarrassed Chuck Schumer, part of the leadership of her party. I'm thinking he's probably willing to give her a Mulligan on this one as a rookie mistake, but if she keeps this shit up she is done in DC. They will give her crap committee assignments, not invite her to decision-making meetings, and frankly make her irrelevant.

The lunatics who are in her court, don't seem to see any of this. They think that she can just storm into DC as a 29-year-old nobody, start bitching to the press, and all the powerbrokers in the swamp in both parties will fall in line. That's not the way it works. Frankly, crazy eyes aside, this bitch and her followers are nuttier than a squirrel turd and about as smart.

We have at least the next two elections before we have to worry about that. The soonest she would be eligible is 2028. However, if the electorate ever decided that she was the one for president, I'd say cue the music. This republic is over.

The real tell, come 2027, will be if she suddenly (albeit ostensibly) walking back some of her more egregious 2018 howlers in an effort to come off as "reasonable center-left" (which ones she can jettison without losing anyone but the craziest of the rainbow-haired-soy-slurping-married-to-six-cats crazies, will be carefully focus-grouped then quantitatively confirmed). She can laugh ruefully (even with Sean Hannity or the equivalent) about being young and idealistic and naive, and essentially use her own 2018 self for her Sister Souljah moment.

The MSM will dutifully (zu befehl!) issue hosannas by the ream about how she has grown into a genuine states, uh, statespersyn, and we'll probably be looking at an Ocasio-O'Rourke ticket.
