I'm not sure about Missouri or federal fraud laws, but under Texas code, in order to qualify as fraud, the suspect has to obtain something of value (money, goods, or services) under false pretenses. I'm guessing most fraud statutes are pretty close to that in definition. So there's no way this would qualify as fraud.

Libel? Maybe - but it's up to McCaskill to prove that 1) the statements published by O'Keefe were false; 2) O'Keefe knew they were false; and 3) O'Keefe published them with malicious intent.

If they people making the statements are actually members of McCaskill's campaign (or McCaskill herself), or another organization working with that campaign, that's going to be a tough row to hoe.

I remember when wossname, Pat Robertson, threatened to sue over stories claiming he dodged combat service in Korea, there was a comment: "If you sue somebody for libel, they're libel to prove it."

Her ads are driving me crazy. She's advertising heavily on local talk radio. Sometimes, the host can't help but comment on the deception in the ads.

Two people talking: "{basically, Hawley is the devil incarnate}"
Second one: "I may not always agree with Claire, but at least she's not like the crazy Democrats. She works in the middle to compromise and get things done."

She's actually a $h*tbag.
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

I am honored to be able to vote against her.

I'm not used to my vote actually mattering for anything.
