With Single Payer, you don't have to worry about that ER visit

Emergency room departments at seven Nova Scotia hospitals are temporarily closing this week due to a shortage of physicians.
Emergency department closures have been plaguing Nova Scotia’s health system for years. Summer is particularly challenging for the province, when a lack of emergency doctors to cover shifts coupled with summer vacations make it particular challenging to properly staff ERs.
It's not because you don't have to pay for the ER visit. It's because there is no ER to visit.

Good thing they have that single payer, though.

I wonder how the Left will spin this?

Simple. You won't hear about it from the U.S. press.

Spin what? They'll shove this down the memory hole as fast as they can.

No, comrade, when glorious revolution occurs, we choose only best doctors for ER, and they'll love to working there.

Or else.

And the one with the lab coat and stethoscope answering to "Doctor" will be bear the title on the basis of having passed sophomore organic chem and (maybe) anatomy and physiology.

(The real doctors will staff the Inner Party clinics.)

It sounds like whoever is doing the scheduling is an idiot. Even in EMS we have time off thresholds. You don't approve vacation for so many people that you can't staff your ER. It sucks if your vacation is denied, but that's medicine for you.

I'm not sure I'd be so quick to blame this on single payer. We have a huge shortage here as well, and have for a long time.
