Mexico has always helped illegal immigrants.

Time to close our consulate there and cancel every visa issued to any Mexican anywhere.

Time to implement my border control plan.

500 yard no-go zone from the border into the united States.

Patrol it with armed drones.

Anything (and I mean ANYTHING) inside the zone from either side is immediately engaged.

No posturing, no apologies and no cleanup. Yotes, buzzards and pigs gotta eat, too.

Illegals controlled. Protesters controlled. Military gets to keep their drone pilots sharp.

If you want to be really fun, spread persistent nerve agent in the most trafficked areas for area denial. Watching people start doing the kickin' chickin has a hell of a deterrent effect. (This is an old NTC/CMTC OPFOR trick. Need to guard a flank, or deny the BluFor and avenue of approach? Just cover it with persistent chem, and nobody will go there.)

Just pepper the border with aiborne deployed landmines. Cheaper, easier, quicker and just as effective.

Might as well take Baja while we're at it.
