House Concurrent Resolution No. 2, introduced by state Representative Bruce Rendon (R-103), was unanimously approved by the House Natural Resources, Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation Committee on Tuesday, February 8. This resolution expresses opposition to the imposition of a ban on firearm hunting in certain areas of the Huron-Manistee National Forest.

Currently, the U.S. Forest Service allows firearm hunting in all of the Huron-Manistee National Forest. HCR 2 would prevent the Forest Service from banning usage, which could set a precedent for limiting people’s rights to hunt and enjoy access to other public land.

POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad
