Virginia: Hearing on Legislation to Add a “Family Firearm” to List of Exempted Items in Bankruptcy Law Moved to Monday, January 17
Wednesday, January 12, 2011
A hearing today on House Bill 1422 in the House Courts of Justice Civil Subcommittee was rescheduled to Monday, January 17. The subcommittee will meet 30 minutes after the adjournment of the House.
Sponsored by Delegate Dave Albo (R-42), HB 1422 would add a “family firearm” up to $3,000 in value to the list of items exempted under Virginia bankruptcy law. Currently, 11 states have similar exemptions to protect family firearms and it is time Virginia updated its laws to adequately protect your firearms.
Strenuous opposition is expected from Virginia’s bailed out banks, so it is imperative that you contact the members of the Subcommittee and urge them to support House Bill 1422. Their contact information can be found below.

Virginia: Legislation to Add a “Family Firearm” in Bankruptc
From NRA-ILA:
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON
A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.
I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad
