Wiki issue or me?

Post by DavidB »

Got this error message
A database error has occurred. Did you forget to run maintenance/update.php after upgrading? See: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Up ... ate_script
Query: SELECT lc_value FROM `mw_l10n_cache` WHERE lc_lang = 'en' AND lc_key = 'deps' LIMIT 1
Function: LCStore_DB::get
Error: 1146 Table 'thegun_guncounter.mw_l10n_cache' doesn't exist (127.0.0.1)
However, it was all in black type, no hyperlink showing (as I see in Preview).
I was looking for SeekHer's Air Gun info page.
Thank you!

I am getting an error trying to access the Wiki page as well. Is it no longer available?

Hasn't worked since a database issue several years ago.

Just thought I would necro this thread to ask our esteemed GC staff if there is any chance of getting the wiki restored? At this point, even if we had to start over entirely from scratch that would still be better than leaving it in limbo. Maybe enable a few more members with editing privileges, and rebuild? If we rebuilt it into a good enough reference source, we might even draw some new members to the site. Create a subforum for discussions related to wiki article administration, etc.

That's actually a good idea. Let's put our heads together and get back to ya.

After next week I'll have a little downtime to dump out the database from the wiki.

MediaWiki's databases have always been... twitchy. Worst case scenario, after I have that pulled, we can recreate a clean install, and dump the documents back in. It's just a timesuck.

If there's any sort of relatively simple drudge work that I can do to help, let me know.
