Yeesh. A decade already? I was in the middle of my broadband wireless startup and working on the new body armor with Fast Rope back then.

I still see Kim from time to time when I am in Dallas. He's plugging along, as per usual.

Ten years ago, I found this forum due to the Pussification essay. I feel closer to most of you than I do to my extended family, or even that you are my (very disturbed) extended family.

I've had the pleasure of meeting many of you in person and found you all to be some of the greatest people on earth. Also, most of you look ridiculous and nothing like your avatar, while I am completely normal.

I've employed at least 5 members from here and started the Fraternal Order of the Sons of Steve McQueen with three, one of whom I've worked with.

I've only met a handful, but I've also made at least two additional non-gunny friends through a couple of you. Of course, we've also had a bit of tragedy too. Kim's misfortunes and, of course, the death of Frank. That last still gets me. That kid had a lot going for him. You just never know what demons some are facing.

Oh yeah, summer of 2005 for me. I was googling information, trying to choose between a 24/47 and a MN 91/30. One of the hits took me to Kim's site and after lurking for a few days, I became a member.

Sure you are.
