Sara Palin Humor
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

Not WAS but IS the Governor
Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people.

And she hasn't spent 3/4 of her time in her current office campaigning for higher office.

They're the forces of good! The nice guys! You can't expect them to bring up every little detail!
Where's the Sarcasm off signal?

Unlike Arnold Schwarzenegger, upon becoming Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin knew what it was like to crush her enemies, see them driven before her and hear the lamentations of the state legislators.
Remember, folks, you can't spell "douche" without "Che."

In Arnold's defense, the lamentations of the CA state legislature consist of "dude, you're killing my buzz, not cool!" and "wawawa there is sand in my vagina and it hurts!". I would imagine, indeed hope, that Alaska has a more manly set of legislatures than the girly men that CA has.
