The selection they use is... well... It's not safe for most anything short of a Gwar concert, really.

Well they're playing it up for ridiculousness as satire... but you could actually play it straight and with the right choice of songs it'd be better than almost any spoken word 'poetry' I've been subjected to.
'Too Late For Love', yes Def Leppard, would no nicely for a start. (Most poetry is really, really bad.)
