Petty and his Superbird will be going to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this June. A British auto reporter interviews Petty, who is still spry at 77, and gets to take a ride in the car. Too cool.

I remember when he ran at Talladega, set all kinds of records. There was a Plymouth dealership that had one of the Superbirds in the showroom, I used to ogle it whenever I went past there en route to the public library.
(That dealership was in the national news 20 years or so later, when, after they'd gone out of business, the county sheriff used the showroom to stash overflow prisoners from the county jail.)
