The first road trip my wife and I took, she had no idea what to do at a gas pump (born and raised in NJ), so I had to do the pumping (grew up in NYC, so I knew how they worked).

The fact we're still paying a luxury tax on phones which was intended to fund the Spanish-American war should tell you how much government is addicted to tax and the dollars that come from them.

Scabies? Too good for them. Leperousy? Too good for them; why should they get a trip to Hawaii?

Actually scabies, leprosy AND really vicious hemorrhoids would make a good start.

POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

It was enacted in 1949, because of "firehazards". Remember, at the time, station attendents were a might more involved, and it was a semi skilled job(Wash windows, check oil, etc). And it stuck around due to inertia... It was basically a response to the first self serve stations, which showed up in California in 1949.. My deep and abiding suspicion that it was an effort to protect what was a working class job..

What pisses me off is there was a recent vote to repeal it... AND IT FAILED.
