I believe that is the accepted standard procedure. The tape is optional.

I just get AlaskaTRX to do it. I build our AKs, he builds our ARs. For an engineer he's a pretty good mechanic.

Today is the office "holiday party", oh joy. Company buys food, no alcohol allowed, and we get to "network".

The older I get, the more misanthropic I get. I'll stay the minimum I can get away with and go back to my desk.

While I am generally uncomfortable around groups I wouldn't call myself misanthropic. I actually like the people I work with, at least in small dosses.

The 21st we get fed an all you can eat breakfast at a local fancy place and get paid for half a day. Can't really complain about that.

Found a Red Sox hoodie at the thrift store tonight. No shit, it had "G-Man" screen printed on the back. It was a large, so it should theoretically have fit. Except that the previous owner managed to shrink the arms in the wash. Damnit.

They make special pin starter and punch that are relieved to fit around the protrusions of the receiver; the one I borrowed was also skinned over with rubber. It worked well.
