If you decide to look at shoulder holsters, check out my review of the Galco Miami Classic over in The Book of Armaments.

How well it will work with a different body structure and mode of dress, I don't know, but I like mine a lot.

My girlfriend Ms. G&T (who looks a bit like the picture Mike posted) is also grappling with carry issues. It is usually resolved by carrying a very small gun, but we are working on a batter system. Winter will solve some of the issues. In IDPA she uses a galco hip holster, but she has no covering garment that will work in the summer. Here, IDPA lets us get away with no cover in the summer so we don't stroke out....

As a Catholic, I'm predisposed to having faith in the Trinity.

I just never realized Trinity could look so good.

Here are the 'before' pics that I have sent to the organizer so far. I've got to take a few more.

Just an update. I heard from the organiser of this whole thing. We will not be shopping until after Sept 5th. But it will be soon after that.

I checked out the photos above, and note that any firearm can be made hidden by someone covering it with their arm. The real test is normal activities such as walking, moving, reaching, etc, although with limited movement for the covering arm to maintain concealment. It looks good so far, but if your belt is quite obviously holding something heavy, it's not as concealed as you think - yet usually more than most worry-warts who'll flip out if they knew you were carrying A GUN!

For women, how closely does the holster hold the gun to your hip and contours of your body to ensure it doesn't print on the outside of your very stylish jacket?

Everything looks good when your arms are down along your sides and when viewed from the front; but if that's all anyone ever saw, you could be carrying 50 guns and look almost the same. A couple of the problems are leverage and stretch, too much leverage and you'll be replacing your belt quite often due to stretch, and if you like thin belts for fashion - better look for customized reinforced ones to contain the abuse.
POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad
