I'm not that much of an asshole, honestly :D

The thing is that there is a certain amount of history between me and the recipient of the nasal adjustment. A few days beforehand he was falling down drunk at closing time and trying to pressure one of the barmaids into accepting a lift home with him. Words were exchanged, and he eventually left on foot minus his car keys. He'd really worn out his welcome with me.

What gets me about his kind is that they try and make out gun owners are fearful pussies who want to own weapons because of a lack of cojones. It's a very common theme amongst liberals here, you hear it all the bloody time - the gun as a penis extension, murdering cute furry animals to compensate for your own inadequacy etc etc etc. I'd taken several years worth of snide remarks like that from him.

I'd much rather make friends than enemies and when I visit the US, I will not be attempting to break peoples noses in bars, it's not something I'm good at :D

In other words the jackass got exactly what he asked for. No problem here move along. ;)

Ahh... Much more logical... Sounds like those idiots need to meet certain strongmen... Men fond of cocaine, meth, steroids, HGH, and GHB, who can tie iron bars in knots, and are, literally, the size of a gorilla, but w. far less body fat have a unique means of convincing people that they are, physically, completely inadequate...

POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad

It's the self centred liberal attitude that annoys me.

The liberal says " You want a gun because you are scared and weak, I don't need a weapon to protect myself " - as if they aren't the biggest bunch of pussies ever to walk on g-ds green earth  - completely divorced from reality.

I want to see guns in the hands of women and old folks, basically anyone vulnerable to unwarranted aggression. I'd also like a society where they don't have to use them too often.
I'm still young enough, streetwise enough and fit enough to deflect most threats that come my way without anything even approaching deadly force - but it's not about me, which is the point liberals can't grasp.
They constantly whine about 'empowering' people but really they want to make them victims.

I'm going to stop now, before I really start ranting :D

amazingly enough, they have that same attitude here in the states.

This is the typical leftist approach to anything. "I dont want/need that, so everyone else should be banned from having it too"
I tried explaining that even if something is allowed, it wont be required of them to use it, but they simply cant grasp that "nuance".

Seriously, I had people saying that cars should be banned since they ride a bike, and since they never watch anything other than state run TV, all other channels should be banned. The only options they see is banned or mandatory.

Ironic, isn't it? The same people who are so opposed to conservitives because they think we'll take freedom away are so adamant about... taking freedom away. As long as they can screw whoever without consequence and get stoned, they're happy. Just have someone else pay for their education (so they can screw whoever they want and get stoned while at college) and healthcare, they're happy.

You don't need a penis extension if you don't even have one to begin with...
