Shooting locations in the Seattle area

Post by Aegis »

Does anyone know of any? We'd prefer public land, due to the whole "it's free" thing, but if pressed, an actual range might work. We'd be shooting both rifles and pistols, and there would probably be tannerite and/or propane involved, so somewhere we wouldn't set on fire is good. Of course, it'll be in October, so it will most likely be wet, but still. Shit happens, and I'd rather not burn down a forest with a flying propane bottle.

I should probably clarify. "In the Seattle area" means "within an hour or two's drive." Thanks.

I don't know of anywhere you can use Tannerite or propane.

There is an indoor range at Bullseye, and there's a shooting range in Gig Harbor.

I used to shoot at a sorta gravel pit on the logging road near the North Fork of the Snoqualmie River outside of North Bend, WA. That's been about 25 years ago but it might still be there. There were several informal ranges along that road near Mt. Si so it might be worth a look.
