A North Carolina man hit and blinded by a foul ball at a minor league baseball game will lose an eye, MyFOXWGHP.com reported.

Carroll Master was walking from the concession stand at the NewBridge Bank Park in Greensboro, N.C., to rejoin his wife and 2-year-old son at their seats when the ball hit him in his left eye.

"It wasn't long that I was laying there and I could hear the EMTs saying 'Oh my God, why are they still playing ball?' and I actually heard them say stop playing and another ball came our way," Master told the TV station.

hard to sue when the back of the ticket clearly explains that the only person liable for injury at the event is you.

That doesn't mean squat - unless you've agreed to it in writing - this is why racetracks make you sign releases.

Traditionally, the courts have held stadium owners and teams not liable for ball or bat related injuries. However, that may be changing somewhat.

http://lawlibrary.rutgers.edu/courts/su ... 4.opn.html

Short story: Guy is at a concession stand and gets conked with a foul ball. Inane NJ Supreme Court holds the stadium owner is at fault because they didn't do enough to protect fans while not in the stands. Money quote:
In summation, the limited duty rule will apply to injuries occurring in the stands. Liability for injuries that occur in all other areas of the stadium will be governed by traditional rules of negligence, specifically the business invitee rule.
It won't be long before the liberal asshole judges will ruin the game by upholding suits for injuries sustained while in the stands. Picture the new Yankee Stadium fan sections completely encased in cage/netting like behind the plate. I give it 10 years... :x

he might have a case for negligence if their continued playing interfered with him getting medical treatment...
