Holster wise, I mostly use an ugly small pack thing that goes on my belt and also holds my cell phone. Hiding in plane sight so to speak.
Uh oh breaking a rule. :)

Thanks, that concept sounds appealing. But how large a non-phone can you conceal in something like that? Unless you have a stupendously large phone to explain a big case.....
I have a Samsung Note phone which is just about the same footprint as an LC9 by odd coincidence.
OK that made me laugh. Excellent.

I've not seen HBO's The Pacific but an internet acquaintance has made me familiar with one of the authors that was used as a source, Robert Leckie.
I got up and made for the airfield. About twenty yards away was a burning tank. Some of the enemy dead were inside. The snipers hung in their nets like dolls stuffed in a Christmas stocking.

I turned to go, and as I did, nearly stepped on someone’s hand. “Excuse me,” I began to say, but then I saw that it was an unattached hand, or rather a detached one. It lay there alone—open, palm upwards, clean, capable, solitary. I could not tear my eyes from it. The hand is the artisan of the soul. It is the second member of the human trinity of head and hand and heart. A man has no faculty more human than his hand, none more beautiful nor expressive nor productive. To see this hand lying alone, as though contemptuously cast aside, no longer a part of a man, no longer his help, was to see war in all its wantonness; it was to see the especially brutal savagery of our own technique of rending, and it was to see men at their eternal worst, turning upon one another, tearing one another, clawing at their own innards with the maniacal fury of the pride-possessed. The hand saddened me and I offered it a respectful inclination of the head while recovering my balance and making a careful circle around it.
Many of Leckie's quotes are oddly poetic like this. In a weird way, it's led me to think more and more about the impact on the psyche of war made more and more impersonal for longer than living memory.

Wow, that is tempting. I think we're going to see a big shakeout in the firearms and accessories industry.

We got VOIP phones in the office a few months ago and purchased a block of local numbers to have direct numbers to our desks. I don't remember mine, and I have not given it out.

I got a call today on it today (shortened for space):
Her (in thick accent): You haf been selected for receiving of grant from government for which you never haf to pay back for paying utility bills on time.
Me: There must be a mistake. My utilities just got cut off.
Her: You are vasting my time.... Fuck off! (click)

I've never gotten a "fuck off" before. It's like a personal best.
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

I made the mistake of buying a can right after the 41f change. So my forms got buried in the pre-41f maelstrom.
So it's a year and counting for my stamp. And I'm pissed.

That sucks, but was fairly predictable. On the bright side, you should be getting pretty close by now, and you still will get it a lot sooner than if you had waited to purchase until after the wait times come back down.

LOL at some fricking people. Guy on another forum was giving me shit about Lisa Murkowski and the Obamacare vote, and wouldn't let it go. Hmm, says here you are in Florida.... So I google "Florida US Senators" and it turns out that his POS senator voted against the repeal as well. And further, that compared to having Marco "amnesty" Rubio and some anti-gun shitbag of a democrat, I feel pretty good about having Murkowski and Sullivan as my US senators.
