Jacques Barzun RIP

Jacques Barzun, author of From Dawn To Decadence, has passed away at 104 years of age. I'm still reading his book, a few pages each night before bedtime. It's quite informative and enjoyable. He was in his 90s when FDTD was published.

Intellectual, Ivy League professor, Presidential Medal of Freedom, he's even known in the Baseball Hall of Fame:

Whoever wants to know the heart and mind of America had better learn baseball.
