R/C B-29

Post by Darrell »

Youtube vid of what's said to be the world's largest radio controlled model, a 1/5th scale B-29 bomber. Found over at Strategy Page. Wow.

Looks cool, but it sounds like a weed wacker compared to this one. ;)

Given the size of the 1/5th scale, it's entirely possible its using a weed whacker or chainsaw motor.

Butch - thanks for posting that link. My father flew thirty missions as a bombadier on B-29s in WWII. He was one of the lucky ones - bailed out of one over China but made it home unscathed. Saw the Enola Gay on the North Field on Tinian and was on a troop transport bound for San Francisco when the first A-Bomb was dropped.
