Getting horrible packet loss

Post by rightisright »

Title says it. I get cut out of online poker. Webpages time out.

Optonline says they thing the problem is inside my house. I checked all the connections and they seem good. I ran a tracert, but have no idea how to read it. Here is an image:

Thx. That's what I thought.

They are coming out on Tues. to check the main box on the road and my connections to the street.

ETA: I forgot to add, the worst part is, I got kicked off Bodog poker when I had pocket bullets and had just check/raised the donkey next to me :x

it is a problem on the Optonline network... i can tracert fine from the roadrunner network

first 2 to 5 hops are the ISP network... after that they are out on their backbone...

I think your wife might have something to do with it. ;-)

Oh, I'm divorced. I can gamble, dance with women of questionable integrity, drink to excess and generally act like a jackass with impunity. :D

As I've said since my divorce, I can sit on the couch, beer in my hand, with whatever girls I want paying me visits. It has it's benefits.

Update: I finally used my Leet technical skills to talk to a manager at tech support. Ok, that's a lie. I yelled and screamed until they put me through to one.

He quickly admitted the problem was not in my house and somewhere in their firewall. They're working on it now.
