Anyone know if they could be 3D printed?

Having a hard time finding a small enough “crayon” mold to make white chocolate crayons, for crayon ice cream…

3d printed items aren't really food safe without additional post processing like coating with a food safe resin, etc. There's the potential for tiny voids in the surface.

I thought most chocolate molds were vacuum formed?

Would silicone molds work? I’ve seen several YouTube videos for DIY silicone molds.

+1

Like mentioned above, what could be done is to print what you want then make a silicone mold of it. Probably best to coat it with a resin first so it is very smooth and makes a good mold. You might just be able to make a mold of actual crayons if the silicone does not get too hot while it is curing and melt the wax.

Oh, I can buy plenty of full size crayon molds. We’ve made large scale silicon molds to cast duplicates of things to use as decor items at work.

Silicon can work.

Most work ones are vacuum molded. I suppose if I get someone to print a bunch of miniature crayons, and find someone to vacuum mold them, it could work.
