I've had Windows 7 on my laptop for about a day. So far, my only complaints are occaisional flickering of the notification area, and the fact that it hibernates without warning you.
The last one may be because I haven't bothered looking at the power management settings.

Aren't we on Windows 10 now?

Windows 10 is the current M$ approved version.
My work IT department is keeping everyone standardized on 7 for now, and I see no reason to change the home OS (Dual boot Linux Mint/Win7)

I'm holding on to 7 everywhere I can. It was stable, and it didn't make you work so hard to stop it from spying on you.
