Howdy all , I am Tom , in Alaska 57 years now (3rd generation), love to hunt, and shoot, have 4 children (27 to 31 years old), and a sheep dog who kicked a 1500 lb moose's ass but hides under the bed if he hears thunder. Split my time between Fairbanks , and Pelican Alaska, I often take off for a month or two and hang out in the bush.

Hi, I'm Darrell, but I bet you already knew that. KDT awakened my interest in guns and RKBA years ago, I'm trying to learn and share what little knowledge I have. I live in Colorado, where the mountains meet the plains. I'm a mechanic by vocation, astronomer, target shooter and firearms collector by avocation. Playing with this infernal machine is my other big pastime. I'm a southpaw living in a righthanded world. I am politically incorrect and proud of it. John Wayne is one of my heroes.

Since I had not used the now defunct The Gun Thing forums in quite a long time, I can say that without a doubt I am looking forward to sharing reaccquainting myself with many of you, and to sharing experiences with al of you.:)

For the past couple or few years I have stayed almost exclusively on THR, but am pretty certain I'll be spending a good amount of time at The Gun Counter too.

When I look in the mirror, I am happy to see, some of that nine year old boy, who used to be me.

Bullspit here. I'm a college professor who shoots and hunts, thus an endangered specie living in a tenuous environment but not subject to the protections of the endangered species laws.

I get jealous when Rod mentions Krags.

Most of my shooting is in the game of Cowboy Action Shooting. I live in California, for now, but one day I would like to return to Arizona, or go someplace where more sanity, and fewer people reside.

I be here.

Wasn't going to register until the "other" site went down....

Much to my surprise, that day came much quicker than I had intended. So, here I am. I look forward to reading all your BS! (oh, and knowledge, of course). :D

I'm jetfxr69.

Won't talk about work, as we keep getting told not to online.

I'm married, two kids (boys), with a house in the Dayton, OH area and another residence in NoVA.

The name came from an earlier portion of a military career fixing jet engines, installed and uninstalled in Air Superiority airplanes.

It isn't stock is it? Looks like feather grain maple...
That's the stock wood on it (at the time, say 1977 or so). I wound up not doing much shooting with it after a while (the shoots were rather disorganized and not very regular) and traded it (at a pawn shop) for my all-steel 70 Series Colt Combat Commander, which I still have.

Hi, I'm rightisright and I'm an alcoholic... ooops, wrong place. :?

I'm a building contractor by day and a shining light to all of the single women in NJ by night. Ok, one of the above statements was a lie... Anyway, I got into shooting a few years back in no small part to KdT's website.

I live in a socialist hellhole known as NJ. You may have heard of our corrupt government. They make Mugabe look good.

I've become adept at navigating the byzantine waters of NJ gun law and have amassed a decent collection of hand and long guns. Even some evil "assault rifles" that aim at small children and fire by all by themselves.

In addition to guns, I enjoy martial arts, going the gym (both of which seemed to get exponentially harder when I hit 40), fine dining (I love good food and am not much of a cook outside of steak and chili) and an occasional Martini or four.
