Stuff that happens

Post by Windy Wilson »

I spent a week in the hospital in early June with appendicitis. It was leaking/perforated, so I had more intravenous antibiotics than I can measure. What's worse, a hernia appeared, and I go to have that repaired in a week.
It took a week and a half at home just to begin to be able to eat normally again, and I am still weak and tire quickly.

I thought nobody got appendicitis any more and it was just a trope of old WW2 Navy films.

This is nothing compared to the cancers others here have endured and overcome, but it's sure put me down.
The use of the word "but" usually indicates that everything preceding it in a sentence is a lie.
E.g.:
"I believe in Freedom of Speech, but". . .
"I support the Second Amendment, but". . .

I thought pretty much the same thing when I had my last gall bladder attack and removal. Take the time to rest and recover. We ain't 18 no more and it takes a bit longer to get back to normal. Get well soon.
