Fall Travels

Post by Rumpshot » Wed Aug 16, 2017 4:41 am

Well we are going to drive back to Friendship, IN again in Sept. Will leave from near Prescott on 4 Sept. Travel route is I-40 East to Nashville, Tn. Probably be Oklahoma on the night of the 5th. From there on to Nashville, arriving the 6th or 7th. Need to be in Friendship on the 8th.

Would like to meet up with anyone along the way. If we have a long time to go that day, plan on a short visit. If we are overnighting, dinner would be good.

Return trip will begin on Sept 17. Depending on urgency, will reverse course or may deviate south through Dallas and Austin, then West through El Paso and Tucson. Timeline tbd.

Any thoughts?

You have a dinner invitation when/if you pass through Tucson.

I'll check my schedule - I think I'll be able to come down there and meet up.
Buy ammunition and magazines.

You'll shoot your eye out!

Invite from earlier this year is still extended. I'll be in Lordsburg 9 and 10 Sept, otherwise my calendar is open.

I don't know my schedule, but you are welcome to visit me in Nashville assuming I am home. I should be, but life is a fickle creature recently. lol

If you find yourself on Route 66 through MO, drop me a line. Dinner's on me. (Or the appropriate meal for the time)
Note to self: start reading sig lines. They're actually quite amusing. :D

Return trip commencing today.

Couple of supply shortages along with a slow shoot dictated an early start and pretty much a straight shot back home via I-40. Will leave Indiana and head south to Nashville. Spend one or possibly two nights there, meet up with Precision and Oleg Volk, and maybe an old shipmate of mine. Then Sat or Sun head west. Planned stops include: West Memphis, OKC, ABQ and home. About 450-550 miles per day.

Trailer parked in Precision's front yard. Fixing dinner. Oleg is supposed to stop by later.

Sounds like an awesome time.

Ask Precision if he wants any BBQ from here in Tucson. :D :D ;)

Dana and his wife were lovely company as usual. Oleg and his GF stopped by. A good time was had. Oleg and his GF were fed. The rest of us had already eaten.

I think Oleg is going to Friendship next year if he is reminded 2 months ahead for picture taking and the like.

Dana safe travels.
