NRA is looking for Field Reps for Indiana, Colorado & Alaska

Field Representative - Area 14 (Indiana)
SUMMARY:

Represents the National Rifle Association with members and affiliates; manages Friends of NRA fundraising activities; and promotes NRA programs, services and membership recruitment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Organizes and administers the Friends of NRA (FNRA) fundraising volunteer committees, banquets and special events.
2) Coordinates the distribution of state FNRA grant applications; serves as Secretary of the State Fund Committee; and ensures compliance with all requirements of the FNRA state grants.
3) Provides leadership, training and direction to the NRA volunteers, FNRA committee officers and State Fund Committee through regular meetings, workshops and FNRA State Conferences.
4) Serves as a liaison between the NRA and affiliated clubs, state associations, and other state and local organizations.
5) Serves as a clearinghouse for requests of information regarding membership services and benefits, range development, legislative issues and all NRA programs.
6) Promotes various NRA membership recruitment efforts, youth or club programs, training or other shooting programs, and other NRA services and benefits as assigned.
7) Completes and submits all required reports in a timely manner, and ensures that all expenses stay within the approved budget.
8) Ensures that all established goals and objectives are achieved, and performs other tasks and duties as may be assigned.

SCOPE:
High visibility with NRA membership, volunteers, activists, NRA Board of Directors, NRA staff and the media. Responsible for large sums of money on a regular basis, and the care and maintenance of NRA equipment. Position requires frequent travel and overtime work, including weekends and evenings. Position functions with minimal day-to-day supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and a strong background in the shooting sports is recommended.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Previous experience in a leadership position with banquet fundraising and volunteer management is essential. A basic, working knowledge of computers is critical. Other useful skills include public speaking, and a sales and marketing background. Organizational and time-management skills are critical

POLITICIANS & DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON

A person properly schooled in right and wrong is safe with any weapon. A person with no idea of good and evil is unsafe with a knitting needle, or the cap from a ballpoint pen.

I remain pessimistic given the way BATF and the anti gun crowd have become tape worms in the guts of the Republic. - toad
